About Papa Tater
Papa Tater is a neighborhood renowned entertainer specializing in comedy and magic for all audiences.
His shows are catered for each group with lots of audience participation intended to amaze and amuse. He has a show for any situation and event. His shows range from walk around to a full stage show.
​Somewhere around 2004 Papa picked up some small pocket magic tricks so he would have something to do with the kids at the childcare center that Mama Chelle created and had been running for a long time. He wanted to be able to do fun things with them when he visited.
So on his next visit he did some magic for the kids. They liked it. Which encouraged him.

So the magic virus had imbedded itself and was not letting go. And so a very strange and incredible journey began. Papa was drawn deeper and deeper into the world of magic. He met and was trained by some wonderful people throughout the years.
​
Papa started as a street performer in Lancaster City. Busking, as it's called, is when you perform in public, usually on the sidewalk, and hopefully get tips for your efforts. This time of the journey was incredible. Papa practiced in front of real people over and over again out on the street. It was a great time for trying out new ideas. Many of his routines were developed on the street. He still misses busking and greatly enjoys when he's able to get back out there.

He's been doing magic for audiences since 2005. In 2016, he went full time as a Professional Boredom Buster. Second best decision he's ever made. Mama Chelle is the first.
​
He loves performing. It's the time when he feels the most alive. Nothing beats helping others to laugh and ignore the world for awhile.
